Switching to hi.video: what moves and what does not

Prepared by hi.video · Facts checked (UTC)

Try hi.video for your next personal introduction before deciding to replace another service. It does not import an existing video library or reconstruct a sales workflow.

What transfers and what needs rebuilding

  1. Reuse your own scripts, message outlines and contact context. Keep contacts in your existing email, address book or CRM.
  2. Record each new hi in the hi.video recorder. Existing videos cannot be uploaded, and no automated competitor import is offered.
  3. Old URLs, comments, view history, reports, permissions and customer replies remain in the original product. They do not attach to a new hi.video link.
  4. Rebuild links in templates and drafts you control. You cannot replace a link inside an email that has already been delivered.

Keep workflow dependencies visible

Write down the sender addresses, CRM triggers, shared-library owners, access rules and reports you currently rely on. hi.video currently offers personal accounts and manual sharing. There is no CRM connector or team permission model to reconnect as a substitute for those workflows. Keep the original tool if those are essential.

Preserve your own records before canceling

Confirm what your current plan can export and what remains available after cancellation or downgrade. Save only content you own or are authorized to export. An MP4 archive is not a backup of interactive CTAs, comments or analytics. Do not delete old videos merely to complete a migration checklist.

Run a small pilot

  1. Choose one new introduction that does not depend on CRM automation or confidential access.
  2. Record and publish a hi. Check its link on a phone and in a signed-out browser, including audio and any captions you rely on.
  3. Send to your own test inbox and inspect the actual preview, written context and reply channel.
  4. Record any additional steps and missing requirements. Move a second introduction only when the first works for your use case.
  5. Keep the original subscription or archive as needed for old links and records. Check cancellation, retention and export terms before making changes.

Understand the tradeoff before moving

There is no promised bulk migration service or completion time. If you need enterprise controls, a customer task queue or long-form team recordings, staying with your current tool may be the right decision.

How this comparison was prepared

Prepared by hi.video, the maker of one of the products compared. Facts checked 2026-10-15 (UTC). Recommendations are our interpretation of the stated buying situation, not an independent ranking.

Competitor recording workflows are documented only: we reviewed official pricing and help pages, and inspected Vidyard and Bonjoro pricing with Monthly selected. We did not complete competitor recording trials or benchmark speed, deliverability, playback quality or reply rates. The example is a reproducible test for you, not a reported customer result.

hi.video claims were checked against its repository implementation, automated tests and published policies. Automated tests do not establish real-device performance. Sources and plan restrictions appear beside each factual row. Unknowns are labeled rather than treated as missing features.
